OVERVIEW

This program was written using Microsoft VB.net with the general objective of being fun and easy for young children  to use.  As more features were added it became more usable by a far wider audience.  Even so, a special effort was made to maintain a simple path for kids as well as a simplicity of operation in general. Lending to a simpler concept are the following:

1.  The KidsMenu One-Click Pictures.  Three different one-screen menus  display pages of small box pictures showing  selectable examples of what each function accessed by that menu can do. These menus are displayed on the home page.

2.  A Full Painting Screen of any resolution not cluttered with symbols and complicated controls.

3.  A 1 through 600 Draw Width, 4 specialized color pallets including the Color Wheel below, and other width and color control features, all easily displayed and hidden when not in use.

4.  A variety of File Control and Editing Features aiding file input/output control, screen  manipulation and image saving. The "Edit" menu items are categorized within sub-menus to group similar functions.

5.  A variety of Shapes and Familiar Figures produced by simply clicking and dragging the mouse cursor at a desired location; not clipart but individually created and drawn objects).  The Draw Width and Color Opacity (transparency) controls have a significant  affect on the production of most features giving a huge variety of possible results. Some example shapes are shown below the menu.

6.  A Return to Last Values Feature is in place for most Drawing and Painting Functions.  This means that each time a specific function is selected, the user Variables will automatically be set to the values that were set the last time that function was used.  Those variables include: Current Color; Previous Color; Color Transparency Value and the Pen Width,
